WHAT WE BELIEVE

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. - Genesis 1:1

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. - John 1:1

When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth. For he will not speak on his own, but he will speak whatever he hears. He will also declare to you what is to come. - John 16:13

All Scripture is inspired by God and is profitable for teaching, for rebuking, for correcting, for training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work. - 2 Timothy 3:16-17

And he subjected everything under his feet and appointed him as head over everything for the church, which is his body, the fullness of the one who fills all things in every way. - Ephesians 1:22-23

For you are saved by grace through faith, and this is not from yourselves; it is God’s gift— not from works, so that no one can boast. - Ephesians 2:8-9 (further study)

WE BELIEVE that God creates each person as male or female. These two distinct, complementary genders together reflect the image of God. - Genesis 1:26-27
Rejection of one’s biological sex is a rejection of the image of God within that person.

WE BELIEVE God has ordained marriage and defined it as the covenant relationship between a biological man, a biological woman, and Himself. “Marriage” has only one meaning: the uniting of one biological man and one biological woman in a single, exclusive union, as explained in Scripture. (Genesis 2:18-25.) We believe that God intends sexual intimacy to occur only between a biological man and a biological woman who are married to each other. (1 Corinthians 7:2-5)
The Church will only recognize marriages between a biological man and a biological woman. Further, the elders and members shall only participate in weddings and marriages between one biological man and one biological woman. Finally, the facilities and property of the church shall only host weddings between one biological man and one biological woman.

WE BELIEVE that God offers redemption and restoration to all who confess and turn from their sin, seeking His mercy and forgiveness through Jesus Christ. (Acts 3:19-21; Romans 10:9-10; 1 Corinthians 6:9-11.) We believe that every person must be shown compassion, love, kindness, respect, and dignity. (Mark 12:28-31; Luke 6:31.) WE BELIEVE hateful speech and harassing behavior/attitudes directed toward any individual are not in line with the Scriptures.
